Spaghetti Tacos

Spaghetti Tacos

Ingredients
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 1-1/2 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/2 box whole grain spaghetti noodles
  • Stand & Stuff taco shells
  • shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions

    In a large pot, start water for spaghetti noodles and bring to a boil. Break noodles into thirds {breaking twice} and add to water, stir and cook until al dente. About 12 minutes.

    In a skillet, brown ground beef and chopped onion. Season with salt & pepper. Drain. Add taco seasoning and crushed tomatoes to drained ground beef & onions. Stir well and let simmer for about 5 minutes.

    Add cooked spaghetti to the meat mixture and stir to combine. Serve spaghetti in warm taco shells and top with shredded cheese.

Note

I like the stand & stuff taco shells for this recipe because they're wider for the spaghetti and easier to serve.
