Around here we call this “Cheryl’s” Chili. It was Cheryl who brought this wonderful recipe to my door and she brought it on a game day some years and years ago.
We’ve been hooked on it ever since.
This chili is amazing, and a little different than your normal bowl of chunky chili. Its not so chunky! The beans and tomatoes in this recipe are food processed until they’re smooth, making the consistency perfect for topping hotdogs, bratwurst, or nachos!
The flavor in this chili is a little different as well, the secret in the sauce is the Old Bay seasoning and the beer. {doesn’t matter what kind of beer, I’ve used Miller Lite, Corona, Bud Lite, Landshark.. you get the idea} You don’t have to use beer in this recipe, but I highly recommend it! Beef broth can be substituted.
We like to eat our chili straight-up with some cheese and tortilla chips. For parties or gatherings, stick it in the crockpot and watch it disappear.
This is one of my favorite chili recipes and its the perfect time of year for it. If you’re having a Football or game day party, you should try this one out!
